Cosmetic Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty:

Cosmetic lower eyelid transconjunctival blepharoplasty refers to the surgical procedure that Dr. Mack performs to reduce this tired look and restore a more energetic and youthful appearance. The advantage of the tranconjunctival approach to lower eyelid surgery is that the incision in placed inside the lid so that no visible scar is evident.

Dr. Mack performs the cosmetic lower eyelid tranconjunctival blepharoplasty as an outpatient surgery. If appropriate, lower eyelid blepharoplasty can be combined with other cosmetic surgeries, such as endoscopic brow lift, upper eyelid blepharoplasty and Erbium laser facial skin resurfacing. Lower eyelid blepharoplasty is performed under local anesthesia and the patient will be encouraged to use cold compresses for 2 to 3 days and antibiotic drops for one week. Following cosmetic lower eyelid surgery, patients will have an overall softer, more youthful appearance.
